In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name (Psalm 33:21).

Diversity and Inclusivity Statement
We recognise diversity as a gift from God and seeks to open avenues for a fuller expression of Christ’s body in all its stunning diversity. We do this by:
- celebrating and affirming the rich diversity of humanity: including race and colour; political, theological, and cultural difference; the range of expressions of sexual and gender identity; disability, physical appearance and intellectual capacity; and the varied interests, voices, opinions and perspectives that come with age, life experience and socioeconomic status.
- paying particular attention to our use of language in liturgy and our daily interactions – our words in speech, writing, prayer and praise – so that they reflect the equal value we place on the diverse members of our congregation and all with whom we interact, and God’s unconditional acceptance of and welcome to all.
- accepting that we are all flawed with prejudices, problems and perspectives that conflict with our desire for diversity and inclusivity, but we seek to practise God’s love, grace and forgiveness as our congregation strives to be an expression of all of God’s human creation.
As a city congregation, we are also aware of the need for planning to be sustainable. Read about our current and future activities in the Resources section.
